Description

This little girl was my first raccoon this year. Both of her brothers died so I am having to not only play mom, but companion. She was 3 week old then. Now she is 9 weeks and it is time to start her training. This is her first time out in the grass. As you can see in her eyes, she was not so sure about this new stuff. She finally did get up enough courage to explore some. I will post more of her adventures over the next few days. Yes, Faemike, her name is after my Gilbert.

So cute. I believe we have a relative living under the house. Seriously. No sightings, but something seems to like messing with the shiny dishes we use for the cats.

She's adorable! She looks anxious ad curious at the same time! I am sure she will make it! Thanks for taking such a good care of her!

She is completely adorable and cute; a regular heart-stealer if I ever saw one. Thanks for that cool bit of information - I somehow feel that Gilbert would love her

The way she turns and looks back at you for reassurance. Who says these critters don't have feelings or a sense of self? This little one shows a lot of personality! I'm re-reading Marc Bekoff's book "Emotional Lives of Animals". I do hope you can continue posting photos so we can follow his/her development. Keep up the good work! :-)
