Description
I inadvertently caught this one of the sunlight, streaming down the staircase of my condo, and reflecting off the metal cover of my computer desk lamp, captured 3/3/15, very early am. Pure luck that I was in the right place at the right time.
Toodleoo.

Wow that is cool !
Very interesting !!!
One of those captures that can't be planned! Great. And, no, I don't use my iPad all the time, normally Panasonic DMC TZ60. But iPad can be great for shots to send as post cards when I'm on holiday!
I really liked the lighting for this one, Harry.
Excellent timing on your part! What a cool capture!
Excelent once again !
An interesting effect you have captured. Great shot taken just in the right moment!
Great shot at just the right moment, very cool effect!
pure luck, as you say, but your eye also knows where to go. I imagine it had more to do with this shot than it let on to you...I've seen sights like this, but didn't think to shoot them until well after I'd left them. Simply, this is a beautiful shot of light and shadow, flare and darkness, and the spectacle of beautiful transformation. That light turned that lamp into a beacon from another world. Your postwork brought it to a real intensity. And it's so simple. The curved line of the lamp makes it organic, alive. (Fine composition too, with the light stretching to the far left.) The flare is revelatory. I'm sorry it only had 1 full view when I got here (I zoomed when it first went up, so maybe that was me), but at least it's stunning in the non-zoomed version, so your fans didn't miss as much as they'd normally miss. You know, sometimes a really striking photo discourages zooms, because viewers are so taken with the non-zoomed version, they simply forget to zoom. But either version's a beauty. Hope you find more like this. It's beautiful.
Nice 'lamp' flare, if only as you say by accident.. Looks very spectacular.. Neat shot. Rob
