Description
"The Northern Bald Ibis is a migratory bird which was native in Central Europe until the 17th century, before it became extinct due to the huge hunting pressure. Today the Northern Bald Ibis is one of the most endangered bird species worldwide. In the context of an EU project (LIFE+ Biodiversity), with partners in Austria, Italy and Germany, the species is to be reintroduced in Europe."

Cool looking bird!
Okay, schön ist was anderes aber interessant sieht der Bursche schon aus, vor allem in dieser imposanten Körperhaltung. Ein super Foto und Danke für die interessanten Informationen.
You are right not the prettiest bird in the world But it dose have the right to life
Marvelous bird and fantastic capture !!!
Outstanding shot - very sharp & I like the way you've framed it with his wings. He looks like he would make a very scary fantasy movie villain...
Nice shot of this strange bird.
Lets hope it works Mr B, we have destroyed so much in the name of progress after all, haven't we?
Sad but true, Mr. K.! I heard it works pretty well, at least in southern Austria.
I love his expression. "Oh great, here comes ANOTHER person with a camera. OK, stand up straight, open the wings. Come on and take the picture already." An outstanding image of a rare bird. Beautifully framed.
beautiful, love the colors and lighting excellent work
