Description
I'm so pleased to have these visiting regularly this year, at last!
My point and shoot cameras are great for insects, but birds are very difficult, hand held on full zoom.
So all in all I'm pleased to get even this less than sharp pic!

wonderful !!! you're so lucky !!
Excellent capture,like it a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A colorful beauty...
What a colorful fellow! I agree with Juliette, you are lucky. I haven't seen a bird near my place in monhts.
OH yes we have begun getting visits from them in this early spring too. We have had them just visiting. Not living around us. Lovely shot, Andrea :)
Nice shot
a wonder woman bird ;) Beautyful shot
Superb shot given the difficulties you describe. Well done my friend :) Wish I had Carduelis carduelis visiting my garden
Very handsome fella.
These are such beauties aren't they! It is sharp on the back, so it is probably a bit of the birds head movement that has softened that area a little. Still a wonderful capture! They are twitchy fellows, especially if you get sparrowhawks in your garden! I have picked up a lot of those golden wing feathers in my garden over the years!
This capture is a beauty and now they know where the food is they will keep coming back day after day so you need to keep it topped up.
Oh this is an amazing picture of that gorgeous Goldfinch Andrea. Wonderful camera work as always !
beautiful bird and shot
A lovely close-up shot of this beautiful bird.
These birds have it all. Spots, stripes and lots of colors. Nice one.
This is different from the Washington State Bird - Ours is yellow with dark markings - yours is much more colourful Great capture
What a beauty he is!
Superb capture if this colorful little fellow!
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
How lucky you have such a kind of beautiful bird in your garden. This is something I can only dream about.
Beautiful color patterns and zoom!
So very different from the goldfinches here. This one looks almost tropical!
