Description
This was taken a while back. Before I bought my 70d. My nephew was wrestling, and I went to watch, and took advantage of the situation. I brought out the camera to practice some indoor low-light action shots. Way more difficult than I had imagined. I was able to catch a few for his memory book.
I really liked how this one turned out (quite unintentionally!) I am usually one for clear and sharp, but I think as I learn more and see more, my "eye" changes ;)
I am near the end of my "to upload" folder...oh no! I still have my photos from my Grand Canyon Area trip to finish going through. But so far, I don't see too many share-worthy. I may just need to look at them again, and delete as I go, so there aren't so many to overwhelm me ... lol.
Ok, I am off to get some exercise. You all have a wonderful week :)

This is fantastic, I love the movement here. I notice the slow shutter that gave this awesome shot, a good rule of thumb though, and I ain't being critical here just noting to help everyone, is that your shutter speed should equal your focal length, so anything 100 and over here would have according to the text books been better, but I love the fact that you experimented here, and as you say, one's eye gets better along the journey. kudos for this study Melinda, and enjoy your run!
Superb capture Melinda. God bless.
Even with low light, you were so fortunate to capture the god, Mercury/Hermes, in this action shot, Melinda. Great movement in this snap. And, maybe I could loan you a few fotos to post out of the thousands that I have accrued over the years that I never uploaded.
Interesting
cool use of motion blur
Excellent action atmosphere shot!
