2 locks 1 key
This one has certainly seen better days, Harry.
Very great shot my friend !!!
Is the lock on the left soldered or corroded into a solid with the chain? Cool find, and excellent photo Harry!
Yes it has been a while since you gave us another padlock shot. It's a genre you've mastered all by yourself---I know that a few others have done them, but you've caught so many varieties of expression, health and decay, light and shadow, etc, that it belongs to you more than to anyone else. This is a simpler capture than some of your others; but it's just fascinating, because the locks and links seem fused, as if someone used a soldering iron on them. (Maybe they did, or maybe that's a result of the paint that was slabbed on, more than once.) It makes for a messy, slabby sight, and gives your characteristic wildness to the shot. The rust on one and lack of rust on the other is another contrast. (The fence on the rusted side is also more rusted. Must be more exposed to rain over there...) And the two come together (lovers?) over a big thick post, and the rest is thin links and grass. Simpler than some of your padlocks shots, where there seems to be a padlock convention going on; but it's still got wildness. And I like all the decay, scratches, and everything else. The locks look like they haven't been used in a while...
