Description
These scars are the result of fibre optic cable being buried just beneath the surface and backfilled with extremely inferior tarmac.
The town is full of them.

Great image very suggestive POV !!
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
A blot on the landscape!
Bit of a botched job!!
Marvelous POVS on these!
Excellent shot! :)
It's the same here in London, I don't think they use skilled navvies any-more, this is where I miss the Irish navvies, they knew their onions, now it's any old eastern European that can hold a pneumatic drill.
Reminds me of an old Benny Hill line; "The municipal workers fell off their shovels and compensation set in." Thanks for the explanation. They look like wagon tracks. We could send you some of our Mexican immigrants. They are experts at this sort of work.
SOMEONE thought that was 'saving' money,i think....I hope that it can be solved by professional workers...
and of course they got paid top money for bottom work!
Great capture BTW! It seems there's always time to do it twice but never enough time to do it right?
twice a fantastic pov and shot
We see it as Ralphie does, even lower if it was Fritz. I know all about those scars, the price we pay for super fast broadband on our paths and roads. Great shots there.
Very cool imagery; it does seem to focus on elements other than what humans would see, very like a lurcher! Well done!
Interesting that they are under the sidewalk - a safety issue in my eyes!
