Description
27 01 1945 Auswitch was liberated.
I had expected more images here to remember it... to pay tribute.
It is extremely sad that so few payed tribute to what happened there, but maybe you did not know. Google Auswitch and remember

Very very sad but why? it was horriffic!!
I believe this plaque is from Hague? I would love to see the translation. I commend you for an excellent selection of image to use for remembrance. As it has been said many times, and is often found on holocaust memorials. "Never Again"
Jeremiah 31.15 : "A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more."
I agree with your thoughts totally, Chris.
The name and events are well known, but I'll bet the anniversary is the loose thread. I'm sure no disrespect is intended. I usually track anniversary dates and this one slipped my reference banks.
very fitting tribute to the freeing of the prisoners. there was an article in one of the papers noting that there are fewer survivors of Auswitch to celebrate the event
Beautiful dedication! I think many do not know what happened there, a lot history classes, passes over WWII quickly, so unless a person delves into WWII on their own or a class is offered, they breeze over the subject and you might get the names of the camps.
great tribute
