Description
a very great Artist ! A very great ArtFriend with a friendly humor !!!
Charlie Gordon, a young mentally retarded man, makes his living as an apprentice in a bakery. It runs parallel reading and writing courses at Beekman University with Miss Kinnian. One day he was summoned by Dr. Strauss and Professor Nemur offering him to undergo brain surgery, which should help leverage its mental faculties. The intervention successful with laboratory mice called Algernon, the two scientists believe to be ready for the stage of human experimentation.
Unfortunately, the mouse Algernon gives worrying signs of cerebral degeneration and eventually dies. Charlie, who knows that his fate is linked to that of Algernon, understands that he will also decline as fast as his intellectual development was brutal. He then hastens to take all the scientific work of Strauss Nemur and teachers to find errors of calculation to explain the origin of this degeneration. He managed to find the cause and wrote a scholarly report in this regard. Shortly after Charlie sink slowly, but inexorably, in the mental instability of his debut, and will eventually resolve to live in asylum Warren dreaded since childhood, leaving the other Charlie resume his body.

"Flowers for Algernon" - A great movie staring Cliff Roberson. You forgot the part where Charlie loses his friends at work because he becomes smarter than they are and they can't make fun of him anymore. Nice fractal image. - Bob

This is gorgeous, Claude!!!!!
An interesting sci-fi story. Gorgeous green and lavender bouquet of flowers for Algernon in this lovely Fractal. I wonder if it represents the deteriorating synapses and neurons in Charlie's brain.
A classic fractal for a classic story. One of the really amazing works of short fiction in the genre.
