I have to wonder if Hazel is ever offended by being called a witch. I agree with Mike, definitely a pair of eyes staring at us. Those petals look like the red tortilla strips one finds on Mexican salads. And 65 years is quite impressive. Must have something to do with the gardener.

A superb shot! The selective DOF/postwork is very effective! The red ribbons version is very eye catching indeed! I see the resemblance so much to my Loropetelum " firedance" shrub.
