She went to work there right out of college. A little over ten years later she was still there, and over that time developed a lasting crush on her boss. He was a generous man, only a couple years older than her, but seemingly preoccupied with continuing to develop the office. She often wondered if the years waiting for him to awaken to her interest were wasted; but for some reason kept waiting. Often times, she sat at her desk gazing or stood watching him from across the office; just waiting for him to catch her stare. She thought, it's a good thing I enjoy working for him and that he pays so well. Up to that time, she never really caught on that he worked all those long hours with her because he wanted to be by her.
