Description
The Upper Pleasure Gardens above Coy Pond are looking quite bleak and wintery at present.
A little sunshine will make all the difference.

Very nice capture looks bleak and lonely
hehe.. I know this bench.... to be found in national park veluwezoom netherlands
Sometimes the winter gloom can make those most beautiful of locations look rather bleak, I guess nature needs some respite too. I love the difference between the two versions, the monochrome version makes it look raw and very bleak and the colour one actually brings back the seasonal spirit of the true scene, in the colour one we see the mossy nature of the stone bench and other things whilst the Monochrome proves what an impact B&W makes and why it's so widely used by photographers seeking that gritty raw bleak impact.
A great mono study.
A beautiful moody shot, well done.
So very nice, yes we do need some sunshine,
Amazing how the colour makes the pic look so different.
I bet Dee will favourite this image LOL! The bench lady of old Kirkland town has not seen it yet :) Great shot outlining the desolation of winter.
Excellent bench shot, Andrea :-)
Wonderful shot! I love so much photos in B/W! :)
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
I like it in mono best. It keeps the winter mood better, somehow. Before I saw who did this, of course I thought it was Denise's. :)
Super shot Andrea :)
The monochrome tones fit perfectly.
Wow what a tremendous difference between the two !
Stark mono suits the atmos and mood of the lonely bench!
Marvelous on both of these, not sure which one I like better!
A sad image as if someone who used to sit there is no more. Terrific atmosphere. Perhaps the passing of Louise is on my mind.
And nice winter mood.
LOL @ Ronnie! Old lady indeed! Well I DO like this, I haven't got many good bench shots lately, and I don't remember getting any of this particular bench when I was there...I like the mono, it does enhance the texture of the bench itself so nicely!
I agree that the mono version has the best detail but I also liked the color version too!
