Description
In the wild there is always the chance of a carnivore looking for its next meal. This lovely Springbuck male was very alert while having a sip of water. Taken in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park last year.

Beautiful animal, glad it was alert, I know big cats need to eat and it's nature, but I hate seeing it.
Superb capture Carin. God bless.

Fantastic capture, Carin! :)
Beautiful creature and capture!
He looks so well, lovely pic. xx
A superb capture! It must be so hard not to spook these animals in the wild! Then you get nothing but a shot of a butt! That is one handsome antelope!
Outstanding picture!! Great shot!!!!!!!!!
Very beautiful creature, Carin! in response to Ronnie's comment about the big cats eating these creatures - so gauche as not to use any marinade or spices - just right there on the hoof! (sorry - civilized barbarian in me coming out) Wonderful capture
A very beautiful animal.
What a beautiful creature this is. So elegant and graceful looking. Excellent shot, Carin :-)
That's such a perfect shot and pose that I would have thought it was a museum display if somebody else had posted it. This is gorgeous!
What a lovely capture of this beautifully svelte and elegant creature; how amazing to see in the wild, you are so lucky...
An excellent capture and clarity! He does look aware of his surroundings! A spectacular photo!!!
