Mark, thank you so much for taking the time to share this original photo with us.this capture it's self is a thing of beauty as I could literally studied yet for hours trying to take in all the details.as always you selected just the right location with perfect lighting and it shows in the final results.

This always looks so strange to me. Such a large body of water shouldn't be fresh ... ours are salt, of course ... and salt water doesn't freeze like that! Aside from the fact that it's rarely that cold. It makes for a wonderful picture, played with or not. It's otherworldly. Love it!
It may be Lake Michigan in January, but it has all the extraterrestrial surface earmarks of a minor planet at the extreme outskirts of the Solar System, Mark. The bell tower structure in the background was the work of an extragalactic alien effort to establish some kind of Antarcticlike base to work from while exploring the planet. That said, I love this image, with its depth, muted color, lighting effects, and forbidding overall harsh ambiance. Incidentally, I'm still having a very frustrating time, not only with ebots, but also with AOL itself, which often crashes on me. Ergo, when I finally get AOL to behave, either I get a handful of ebots at one time, or over a hundred, which takes hours to peruse and cuts into my other activities. So please bear with me in this crisis.
