Description
Happy Christmas to all at Renderosity! I went for a traditional picture postcard look this time with perhaps a bit of a Bruegel touch thrown in. Hope you like it. It's been a very productive year 3D wise. I managed to post a few times here again and even more on my own site. It's been great looking at all your work too. What a fantastic gallery site this is - so diverse - I'm often spellbound.

Brilliant old times scene, magnificent winter atmosphere and mood, excellent image!
I'm almost afraid to ask how many different renders/Photoshop layers you put into something like this, and how much (or what parts) of it was/were 'painted'.
Yes it is done in layers and some parts are painted, but not very much.
This is a gorgeous scene and so seamlessly done. Stunning! :)

You excelled yourself here Peter, ... a fine and traditional Christmas image ... but unfortunately those are not our images in the land of 'Down Under' our Santa arrives in shorts on the beach - on a surfboard and we don't mind ;P cool cheers of the season to you and your family as well ;)) BB
I could do with some warm, sunny weather myself. England is bad for my health.
