A Kiss For Santa
When I was a little girl,
Every year to visit Santa I would go.
Since I lived in Texas,
Not many Christmas days had snow.
I was always in awe ever year,
To see that jolly kindhearted old man.
Back then Santa was so special
He was very magical and quite grand.
I remember one year
When time for Christmas came around.
My mommy took me to see him,
At the big department store downtown.
We didn’t have much money,
So I told him this year I had just one wish.
As I sat there on his giant lap,
I expressed to Santa just what I would relish.
I was grateful for past years,
And of his great generosity I did reminisce.
This year the only thing I wanted
Was to give Santa’s red cheek a little kiss.
