Very odd name for a pub, love the sign. i would also enjoy the child free zone for a meal as well.
Maybe it's just a mix-up on my machine, but it has Barbara's avatar (pic of Jasmine) instead of yours beside your name. I thought I was commenting on one of Barb's pics until I looked closer and saw your name.
Seems very interesting I will go to see !!
A bit of a grim sort of myth for a pub. Wait, what am I saying? "Fortunately" the landlady did not lose her head as the marquee suggests.
Glad you had a nice meal in there, Andrea :-)
the only way...;)
Interesting pub & read, I too like the child free zone (bah humbug) Funny re avatar!!!!
Zany stuff! Most interesting vision on life!
Seems like an interesting place. RE the child free zone, I blame the useless parents more the kids for the need for this.
Super shot Andrea :)
Child-free zone? By all means. Great capture and cool links
I do love the pubs over there! Nothing so nice here, no atmosphere, just cash-seeking!
Interesting pub sign. Are they suggesting this is the only way to keep a woman silent? Nice web site and a proper pub with a great wooden bar.
We all know that there is no such thing as a 'silent woman' and the little saying underneath is quite funny but I like your shot Andrea. There are thousands of interesting pub signs out there.
It must be difficult to talk when someone has lopped off your head.
he, he, I agree with Katesfriend
cool !
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Great capture and an interesting sign for this establishment. The best since I saw a pub called "The Nags Head" the sign was a woman in curlers and scarf holding up a rolling pin with a ciggy in her mouth, of course it should be the head of a horse. This one has some macabre class to it.
Neat capture!
I'm speechless!
Very interesting homepage and history - great capture!! :o)
I like signs Andrea and I will stash this one into my collection of signs - I also appreciate the "children" sign.
