Absolutely wonderful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible! Looks like the moon is escaping from a flaming caldron of hell.
very mysterious and beautiful
Like Turner's paintings.
Surreal and wonderful!
This is a gorgeous image! The color temp range from cool to warm really enhance what is already an awesome photo!
Really beautiful and what luck to have the moon as well.
Pretty.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOW
All those gorgeous colors and light ... it makes me wish I'd painted this!
Andrea mentioned turner---yes he comes to mind immediately. (Here's a link, though you may already know this, and others. But it's fun to compare it to your shot. Zoom it; it's not the greatest print, but the deep orange-reds highlighted with strong yellows, and the painterly flow of the colors does bring your piece to mind. It's here: http://phenomena.nationalgeographic.com/files/2013/01/turner.jpg.) In zoom we can see the painterly feel of this---I understand tara's response, as she's responding to that very phenomenon. The moon isn't incidental, but it's only one part of this swirly ocean. Quite beautiful, and your treatment makes it like a big bold wash of thick colors, almost as if it were painted in sunlight itself...In a tale I wrote a long time ago, an artist takes a bucket, fills it with sunlight, dips his paintbrush into the bucket, and paints. It's a thick viscous paint, and of course very hot and very bright...Your sky work the last few weeks has been beautiful. This is a beautiful sunset shot.
Stupendous capture!
This has everything Claude - so beautiful.
