Description
Walking in town yesterday I had to look twice, I thought this was a real dog.
I went over for a closer look & saw it was sculptured out of sand. After putting money in his tin I asked the young man what will happen to the dog at the end of the day. He said it would be broken up & he would be back next day. I told him I would have loved it if it wouldn't disintegrate. There are some clever people out there. I wonder what he will be making today?
Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. xxx

Such a COOL sand sculpture and bravos to the artist guy....and a great capture from you...
beau travail!
Wow, that guy is good, great find, outstanding capture!
The skill this fellow uses is amazing. It seems a shame that such beauty is only fleeting and has to be remade each day.
One word--FASINATING ! Great find, and capture Andrea.
Oh, my! Before I read your notes I thought the dog had eaten the beggar! Very good photo. The dog looks SO real. As you say, there are many skillful and clever people out there. I bet he gets a lot of money in his tin. All the best to him. Thanks for sharing! :-)
Fabulous art definitely a skilled artisan to make this dog looks so realistic
Okay Barbara, I have to admit this is without a doubt the coolest things I've seen in sometime. What an amazing job he did on this sand sculpture.

Excellent. Shame it has to be lost
Surely a magical moment for you and all curious That a great work he do well too ((5++))
Sidewalk art is awesome. I used to do sidewalk chalk art until the police decided sidewalk art is vandalism and started arresting everyone.
How cool.
There are incredible amateur artists out there and this guy is great - and a great photo by you Barbara!
Wow, this is just so creative and cool.
