Archimedes (Archie) takes a few days off for rest and relaxation. He has many more inspirational dreams. While he takes time off, Herman stays shut down in the basement, recharging his batteries as well. He must await Archie's return to be reactivated. He hasn't become completely autonomous yet but when he is activated, the thought does pass through his brain. While Archie is pleased with Herman's mental acuity, he knew enough to place safeguards into Herman's programming to prevent him from straying too far afield and taking off on his own. Archie has engineered several back doors into Herman's brain in the event there are problems with his thinking processes. After Archie's hiatus, he returns to the lab, refreshed and full of new ideas he wants to try with as much input as he can get from Herman. He quickly switches on the robot and after the powering up sequence finishes, discusses several of the ideas he wishes to pursue. Working together in the lab, they run several projections regarding which direction to proceed with the new advanced brain for Herman. Archie thinks it should be done one way, Herman has a few different ideas as well and together, they develop a plan of action. Mixing chemicals at a workbench, Archie is suddenly aware that Herman is staring at him and then a the brain suspended in the aqueous solution. The intent gaze from Herman is making Archie nervous as he mixes the final solution to apply to the brain. 'Herman, you make me nervous staring at me all the time. It takes time to create a brain. If you would be so kind, please power down till I'm ready for your assistance on the next phase of this project.' 'Archie. I am sorry I have disturbed your concentration. It is just that I am so anxious to have this new brain installed, I can barely contain my excitement at the prospects. But, per your request, I will leave you to this phase of the project and await your reactivation.'
