Description
This was taken on the full moon on 5th November. It was far darker than it looks here. The outline of the hills was visible and the sky full of stars. It is a 30 second/ f5 exposure (+ 1 stop adjustment) on a wooden jetty so not very sharp. I was on the edge of woodland so no streetlighting nearby. I used the distance scale on the lens as it was too dark for focusing to work. The other side of the lake on the right is the town of Ambleside. It's streetlights causing the orange glow. I don't usually post soft images, but this has a mood/atmosphere quality still I think? There are also one or two photographers that like benches ( You know who you are ). So it's for them too!
P.S. I forgot to add there was a thin low mist on top of the water that may not be evident, but made it more surreal at the time!

Remember remember, the 5th of November Of gun powder treason and plot I see no reason, why the gun powder treason Should ever be forgot. Looking at the ethereal glow of the orange lights, one can easily see the mist, that would almost blend into a fog over half minute exposure. That's for softness, I have seen a lot worse night shots around the internet, I'd be proud to call it one of mine mate!
