I love the textures on this! P is for puckered purple.
Perfectly positioned in its purple place.
Helle, this was such a clever way to present the (P). Well done my friend.
Wonderfully done !
Outstanding work Helle. God bless.
P is for puckered purple paper! :P Whatever you did ... it's marvelous!
hehe P for Priska 😂 very expressive P 😘
Very cool letter work!!!!
Marvelous work, love it!
I like how this came out; it has a very nice feel to it!
cool
Oh, that is again a very stunning 'P' result, Helle. I love those textures and the fantastic purple color you used. (mmm, thinking about, if the textures are created by glue)
Oh this is stunning! As you know, I have to catch up, and I'm really glad to see this one! I have no idea how you did this. I imagine it's probably, maybe, sort of, purple papier-mâché, or that stuff you can make with egg whites, or white glue diluted with water. The colors are perfect, and I love the text: I can't read it but I like seeing it. The whole image is so elegant. This is a lot of fun to look at and I bet it was fun to make!
I assume this is the same prayerbook? Just different pages? (In digital, you can re-use the same pages, but in physical, once you do THIS to them, they're used! You'd have to tear this up to get the pages back.) I loved this: Your surrounding to the P is this pinkish floral looking stuff---I don't know how you did it, but you made a background that looks like the gnarled branches of a tree, with blossoms coming off of them. The blossoms look like they're made of grains and other small particles. And they go snaking through that large square, allowing the P to set against them. It's similar to illumination because it's a letter "celebrated" by a very visceral background. Only, this piece has no gold or silver. And the border background is the same hue as the P, that burnt amber brown. I assume you created that burnt feel with blackening? I love it, however you did it. The text works so nicely in these pieces. You use text as abstract art (just like I do in my maps). A wonderful P, and it's made by hand, which makes it very special. Another terrific hand-made letter from you, for this series.
