Description
My generation are so incredibly fortunate to have lived in peace in the UK for our whole lives, thanks to the sacrifice of 888,246 of our men and many many more wounded or made ill in WW1 and another 400,000 killed, 300,000 wounded and 26,000 missing in WW2.
The total figure was greater according to the British Army stats for the Great War , 956,703, which includes men from all over the then commonwealth.
