Thank you Tommy for the sacrifice, and thank you Jeff for a stark reminder that we should never forget all the human beings that died in a senseless wars.
Great remembrance capture my friend !
VERY NICE (Princess Anne was in Ottawa Canada this morning) :)
I have actually spoken to the Princess and also to the Queen.
Beautiful and touching. Great work!
I'm reading a book of Maurice Genevoix on that first world war. Very sad.
Very touching.
IMPRESSIVE image!!!!!!!!!!!
Very appropriate for today, Jeff.... that is particularly poignant memorial!!
A wonderful capture of a heartbreaking memorial. It shows what happens when the greedy and the insane are in charge. My grandfather fought in France in 1917-1918. My father fought in the Pacific, 1944-1945. He told me all I need to know about war, "Some wars are necessary but there is no such thing as a good war." Let us pray we never fight unless it is absolutely necessary.
Splendid composition and colors my friend
Very beautiful and touching photo!
A touching photograph Jeff.
superb display and capture. lest those that gave their life, not be forgotten
Very beautiful memorial shot!
I concur with Mark (wysiwig) - a heartbreaking reminder, seeing this image ... there will never be any winners in war ! BTW - I did see the over 888.000 poppies 'planted' as a memorial on the TV news from England ... amazing ... fine image Jeff, BB
Never... Sorry am late, fine tribute Jeff.. Good shot Rob
yes, a touching memorial photo!
great tribute
NEVER forgotten Jeff. I lost my high school best friend in Vietnam (May 29, 1966 - also a Jeff) and still think about him every single day. It took me over 40 years before I called somebody else "my best friend".
