Description
A serious design for a manned mission to Mars, using Nuclear Thermal propulsion. (Running gas over a VERY hot nuclear core). In my version I have used a variation on the NERVA design, with a longer section, and extended engine bells.
The habitation module is based on the Bigelow inflatable habitat, and one of the cryogenic hydrogen tanks can be dropped to save weight.
