Description

I never understood why people allow relics like this to simply fall down. if they did not want the barn, the wood could be put to use

Richard, let me just say that I couldn't agree with you more. Living in an area of the country where barns and outbuildings are still plentiful it has always bewildered me why some farmers literally allow barns like this to fall down around their ears.

Excellent capture, and as to why most likely because they are as weathered as the barn itself, pity to say, but, some give up on everything in bad times, and did not think of selling the wood.

I agree as well. A total waste of resources - if anything else, maintain the building and rent out the space Great capture

A real poor Oldie - It's a shame to let such buildings die .....

Maybe people get old, feel alone and unable to tackle the problem....best to ignore it.

I know a bar and also a restaurant had took some old barn wood like this and used it on the walls of they places. They had it clean up of dirt and then a clear coat of varnish of some type was used. looked good. many years ago i saw it.
