Its not that difficult, a large library of small parts really helps to assemble these things.
Not that difficult? It would drive me nuts ... Would you be interested in modeling a series of plants for a book project I have?
I've never tried to do a Plant or Tree, let me mess around a bit and see what kind of difficulties I come up with, and Ill get back to you. Reproducing man made objects is relatively simple, Humans animals and anything in nature is a different ballgame because the polygon count is so high. Ill see what I can do.
