Description
'Bluey' powering up the face of Winkipop, Bells Beach Australia. This is where the Australian surfing title is held each Easter.
The famous Winkipop wave got it's name in the 1960's. It came from the girlfriend of 'a few' of the young surfers at the time, who used the term 'Winkipop' as her code name for sex. Apparently she was always saying to the young gentlemen of the day 'Hey mate, ya feel like a Winkipop'!!!!!!!! A few of the locals were trying to come up with a name for the wave, and whilst watching 2 crabs 'at it', they decided......Winkipop was born!
