Description
This reminded me of The Lord of the Rings
I accidently set my camera on the smallest picture size in the middle of this outing, so the quality is poor.

I like this it looks like alien bugs on the trunk.
I agree with you, amazing tree.
Really unusual cohabitation..if one can call it that! Quite weird
Excellent capture of the knotty limbs embracing the trunk of the tree. Amazing how Mother Nature puts her talents to use.
Excellent shot,klasse capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are like huge fingers.
Looks like fingers around a throat. A little creepy but well seen. Would make a good Halloween image.
looks like the tree version of Alien's face hugger. Great capture
still it do look good and it do look like the lord of the rings
Nice pic of the 'hand of death'. I am also guilty of not checking the camera before I shoot! Btw, that was Hazel with David taking her pic.
The Boa Constrictor of the plant world...
Yes, looks like fingers are grasping someone.... Nice find. Aloha
wow, well seen; great title
Awesome :) It is very Lord of the Rings-like.
Very cool shot... I saw some like these in Devon when I was there. Very surreal looking and a cool shot.
That is a very tight embrace - trees & vines can do amazing things...
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
It looks like the tree is burying its face in its hands; what a great find, and a wonderful shot!
Full face palm, it must be embarrassed. Great shot, and well seen.
That's a real strangle hold! What a find, and an amazing shot!
Quite sinister! A sort of northern strangler fig, I suppose. Hope it isn't as deadly to the tree as those tropical jobs!
Fantastic looking photo.
Amazing observation of this tree, indeed it is rather like Lord of the Rings.
A great find and it does look like a giant hand strangling the tree!
