Bio Like many other royal houses in the Age of the Confederacy, the Charzides wield limited political power. However, they remain a respected and popular entity among Masar's citizenry. This is due in part to Shion, the youngest of the clan. Inheriting her father's physical prowess and swordsmanship, and her mother's free-spiritedness and sharp wit; she won several athletic competitions and graced the covers of many a magazine. However, Shion was (and to some degree, still is) a problematic boaster and trash talker whose sarcastic wit puts her at odds with her older sister Tianna and teammate "Brandy" Cydell (the latter nicknaming her "Diva" much to Shion's disdain). Shion would be the first to admit she doesn't have much in common with her sister. She describes her own sense of humor as being "all over the place," while that of her sister's could be compared to "burlap," or "one divided by zero", or something similar. Shion also doesn't share Tianna wariness of humans. Even though relations between Earth-born Anthros and most humans are generally strained, and that she personally had issues with some humans; she's willing to give humanity as a whole a chance to redeem itself. All the same, Shion understands she and Tianna are sisters above everything else, so they try to be cordial on most affairs. They also have an unspoken rule about not arguing in front of their parents, friends, or teammates. As Tianna is Shion's commanding officer in Terra Squad Two, Shion ends up obeying most of her orders anyway. Shion's relationships with Aseska T'Jani and several Earthers are helping her become less self-centered and more grounded. Being with Aseska especially makes her tone down her boastfulness. Shion hopes humanity would recognize her people as partners instead of adversaries, especially in light of the Paklet invasion into Terran space. While she privately believes the Confederacy made a mistake of setting stakes on Mars before making contact with humanity, she feels that particular issue is moot. ***** * UPDATE 9/19/14: Made formatting changes. * No profile pic to go with this yet.
