Old medieval houses in the center of Auxerre (Yonne département), France.
The statue figures a typical man of the city, named Cadet Rousselle, who lived in the XVIII th century.
There is in France a song everybody learns as a child about this man, an ironic song that became well-known during the French Revolution (1789). Difficult for me to translate...

Auxerre est une ville extraordinaire et cela me rappelle de grands souvenirs ... Oui oui... j'ai aussi perdu quelques années de ma jeunesse dans cette superbe région. Sublime capture mon ami !!!
