Description
The Male Grackle fluffs up every single feather and splays his tail feathers out into a full fan.
Feather detail much better in zoom.

This is outstanding Maria. Fantastic feather details!
very beautiful bird and capture
I've only ever seen plain black grackles, they are much prettier in Texas! Beautifully captured!
I just love that eye Maria.
I can almost feel the excitement building!
what a catch, all so clear and this for me unknown bird is such a beau! great series, congrats!
Taking deep breath.
An exquisite capture - catching his full mating fluff and colors. Excellent clarity and awesome look in his eye!
Terrific profile portrait of the birdie, Maria. The magnificently colored grackle seems to be in the process of launching itself into the air at any moment. I can't get over that beady eye, which looks so intense.
Love how the light hits this.... very beautifully done!
