Maine USA.
This is a state that has it all. Rocky shorelines, lighthouses, beautiful landscapes, covered bridges, wildlife (very high moose population) and of course lovely lakes. We want to visit Acadia National Park and Moose Head Lake. That is about an 8 hour drive for us. They say you can have a boat bring you right where moose are in the lake feeding. Amazing. Huge state though that would takes years to explore.

I visited Maine once when I was in my early 20s; we camped in several areas, and I was very impressed with all the natural beauty. You're lucky to be close enough to visit! This park is lovely, and looks very peaceful and quite "established"! Gorgeous POV!
try Texas with 230,000 more sq miles than Maine's 31,000!! beautiful park capture.. from Texarkana to El Paso takes an easy 14 hours with no traffic problems just stopping for fuel
