Description
A first for me capturing this bird on camera today while visiting Jan Cilllers park. Would love to get a much closer and sharper capture but this is a elusive bird.
Very cold in South Africa currently and very very windy.
God bless.

I've never seen one, so you're one ahead of me. Beautiful shot!
But Spring is on the way!
Lol in two days it is Spring Andrea. It does not feel so today though. I trust in the Almighty Lord that this is the last of winter that we are feeling currently. God bless.
If you had cropped the pic in portrait it would have had the effect of zooming in but still a super shot Christo.
I prefer to wait my friend for the time that the Almighty Lord would provide me with photography equipment to take a much closer picture of this elusive bird and I trust in the Lord as He will provide in future. God bless.
Wonderful capture of this cool bird
We have the Wielewaal (= Dutch). The colors are the same, the pattern differs.
It's name like in dutch is in afrikaans also Wielewaal. This one seems to be living in South Africa. The European Oriole emigrates to Africa and to Europe. It has a smaller band of black in the shape of a diamond all around their eyes. God bless.
