That's a whole lot of bobbins!, these are artworks in their own right in different woods and designs.. interesting shot.
Love the photo Andrea!!!!!
Fabulous collection.
I share your reluctance, even though i am a patient man, I would find this too fiddly to hold my attention.
yes don't think I would have patience either
That lady is very clever, lots of bobbins I wouldn't know where to start!!!
Honiton Lace comes to mind. An excellent collection Andrea.
A wonderful arrangement of the different types & shapes of wood & colors of yarn - well seen & composed...
Way beyond my ken, but what a fantastic shot! Great texture and composition!
👍
so beautiful wood and picture! you have just wait Andrea, you will be patient when you get older ;-)
Super shot Andrea :)
I've never done it, but nothing made with thread is impossible, and none of it is boring! :) I love the bobbins. What a joy it must be to hold these in your hands and feel the smooth surfaces while a piece of lace takes place before you. sigh Wonderful!
Such humble articles, they are quite beautiful and could stand as art pieces on their own. Nice close up.
This should rank as one of the most unusual photos of the year!
Interesting post.... Made a Hammock and I need something for the sewing machine...Bobbin. Kewl! Aloha
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Well spotted and taken shot of once vital cottage equipment! I saw a doily being made once on a huge cushion with dozens of these bobbins, such skill and concentration required!
Wonderful image!! Love the different shapes, colors and textures! Top notch image!
An impressive collection and thank you for the FlickR version since they looked so much bigger in the RR version!
