Description
This is John a man that I grew up with. He is a champion onion and leek grower throughout the UK. He called on me this morning to give me what you see in the picture and told me that these were of the smaller ones and he is growing an onion of over 12 lbs to try and beat the record for the UK.
I hear you saying "I bet they are as tough as old boots" but going on other years when he has given me these I can tell you they are extremely good to eat and Julie makes a lot of soup out of them.

OK, either John is a very small man or these are of epic proportions. I never knew you could grow them this big. He seems quite pleased.
That would make a lot of soup! They look so sweet and fresh and very healthy, you could sell that soup for a pretty penny! I'd buy it for sure!
