A female Common Darter, Sympetrum striolatum posing for me.
I would almost swear she winked, but they can't of course!

wonderful macro; it seems she is smiling
Great close-up shot. Very nice.
Fabulous and extremely detailed, super shot and what a zoom!!.
belle photo!
Fabulous macro Andrea
Excellent close-up Andrea!
I would hate to be a tiny human in this world. I can see where all of the sci-fi monsters come from!
Wow, that is one in-your-face closeup view & I agree with Juliette that she seems to be smiling. And what I assume is a twig looks very much like a log, which slyly plays with my perception of scale...
Excellent macro, would hate to see the bad side.
Fantastic macro !!!! 5 +++
Well she IS smiling cheekily, so a wink isn't out of the question. Wonderful closeup!
Fabulous pic got the all clear on my hip. have to wait 6 months for the other one ,to be done
Amazing capture Andrea. God bless.
Fascinating details and colours. Excellent macro.
Jaw dropping down. Fantastic macro.
Fantastic shot !
I would swear you have a communication with these insects and will soon be signing them up on long term model contracts. Fantastic shot Andrea.
Well seen and captured.
She seems thrilled to be in front of the lens. I thought of the title of an old Madonna song, "Strike a Pose". Even more amazing in zoom.
What a close up! How on earth do you get them so sit so still while you get so close! Nicely done!
But they can brush over their eyes with their front feet, and that is as good as a wink! Fantastic shot Andrea!
It's so easy to see a human expression in that face. :) What a great shot!
Whar a fabulous close up of this beautiful little creature :-)
Beatiful shot
A spectacular capture Andrea and a must zoom to catch that hairy blink! :o) I can't get yesterday's photo out of my head and that is a good thing!
