Wow, it's been a while since I posted. This is Mitzi the new senior rat terrier I adopted in April. As some of you know Tango passed away in Feb. Since I live alone, I didn't want to wait too long before adopting. I was looking for a female, senior rat terrier - I do like those big ears. Due to her age (9-12 years) and a growth on her back, it was unlikely she'd get adopted from a shelter. Fortunately, a rescue group took her and I adopted from them (found her on line). I had a little trouble getting use to her small size (11 lbs). She is really fast! Loves to run and jump, but is also quite willing to nap quietly. I had her teeth cleaned (2 need to be removed) and the growth (non-cancerous) removed, all her shots, etc. Vet said she is healthy so hopefully she will have a nice long life in her forever home. While she is not as fun as Tango, she's funny in her unique way and very sweet girl.
