Here's the picture of the battery that exploded not far from where I was sitting... as you can see from this picture it blew it's whole top of... all the plastic pieces landed right next to me! as I will show in the next shot...
just after this happened, I grabbed my camera that I carry around in my car and took a few photos of the area... after looking them over, I can't help but feel like wow... all that and I didn't get hurt... and let me tell you this isn't a small battery either!!
I should be posting the next shots later... and I hop everyone is having a good weekend..

Wow! I like you attitude about it. Rather than be angry you are thankful that you luck was good.
That is a really big battery. It is a wonder someone wasn't seriously hurt. I am glad everyone's guardian angels were on their toes that day.
electric fork lifts do use huge batteries. you were very fortunate to have escaped injury. how about the driver?

WOW Dan! What a MESS! You are indeed fortunate. Looks to me that something ignited the gases leaking from the top. Glad no one was injured.

Your lucky you did not get an Acid Bath, But you probably needed Real Bath after that with bubbles too!

The battery exploding is one thing.. all that acid splattering around as well.. lucky no one was injured!.. I'd have gone straight out and bought a lottery ticket!
