Description
Skylar is painfully aware of the mistake he made not insisting Reed come with him to visit
his folks. He hasn't come out to them yet. He is their only son. They want grandchildren.
Well... guess they can rethink that one.
In an effort to get the ball rolling, so to speak, Skylar's Mom invited two of her young,
(as in about the same age as Skylar) female co-workers over for supper one evening. Skylar
is very nervous around the company so most of the conversation transpires between the ladies
and Skylar's Mom and Dad.
Afterward, Skylar's folks talk to him about his poor manners for not trying to visit more
with the ladies. They were interested in him, but it was rather too obvious he wasn't at all
interested in them. Skylar has a panic attack and pretends he is just tired from working so
hard out on the coast with all his new responsibilities.
His folks lighten up on him and let him off the hook, but they do exchange a rather confused
look between them. Up till now, Skylar has been very good at covering up his feelings toward
the same sex. Well, the time has come for him to 'man up!'
That night he talks at great length with Reed. Reed gives him a lot of good advice and makes
several good suggestions for easing into the topic of his sexuality with his folks. Skylar is
just too cowardly and pleads with Reed to come to his rescue. After a not too lengthy bit of
begging, Skylar talks Reed into flying in on the earliest flight the next day.

Superb characters and beautiful poses, nicely staged scene, excellent render, Bill!
Great Story, the image has a very 50's feel to it that goes well with the story. I love your story telling.
Very good work and great commentary. I have no doubt that the parents will ask the question, mainly of themselves, 'Where did we go wrong?'
Well done!
Too bad there are still such fears about their sexuality. Children - that is within the possibility given surrogates and adoption.
OMG before I even saw the image, I had pictured in my mind some sort of fancy Cotillion or something ... and I wasn't far off! Poor Skylar! I'm glad he called Reed. And Mumsy and Papa needn't worry about grandbabies ... the guys can adopt, or hire a surrogate (with all the money they have!). They could have little ones to spoil, coming out their ears!!! ;^)
Wonderful story, and so much social commentary hidden in there as well.
They can always adopt kids!!!! Nice family scene!!!!!
Bravo, great scene and social comment!....Poor Skylar looks most uncomfortable...Well done Rad.
wonderful story and fantastic posing!! Everybody looks uncomfortable!
Fantastic scene and very great creation !!!
