Description
Cheapo ones but still one of my favourite media.
'Our Daily Challenge' on Flickr was Hexagon or hexagonal, which is how this came about.

Super shot and idea! I used to always chew the ends of these while drawing as a kid, much to the annoyance of the teacher.
A lovely selection of colours and a great shot. Any chance you can send me the pic of us all with the anchor, I would like to send David a copy?? Jeff.
Very nice, thanks for info on the Butterfly. I couldn't find it in my book. Langdon woods was full of Butterflies.

I love crayoning, great photo!!
Very nice, Andrea. That's something I haven't tried yet.
Great sense of observation, great idea and shot !!!
purdy colours
A classic, I have seen many of these pens/pencils shot like this, but yours is super.
Such a fine shot and fun too :-) Now we just need to see a doodle made with them ;-D
Very nice capture Andrea.
Fantastic idea and shot. Excellent focus and details.
thats something I love since my childhoud, crayons... beautiful done Andrea!
Amazing work Andrea. God bless.
I like the colors and patterns!
What an attractive and colorful display of ordinarily objects. Nice work.
Very beautifully done! Love it!
Fantastic idea Andrea, this is what makes photography creative and fun. I don't know why but when I look at this it reminded of a work by Christo called "Wall of Oil Barrels - Iron Curtain" from way back in 1962. They are of course round and the pencil crayons hexagonal.
do make good art here
I find myself staring and studying one pencil end after another. Each is different, with different wood and a slightly different shape and make and color (of course). What a mesmerizing piece!
This is cool!
Oh, a great shot, and pure eye candy to anyone who loves pencils. I zoom everything, but here zoom just changes the picture entirely: It's a big bold late 80s abstract, all of a sudden, influenced by pop art and with almost a Warhol quality. Love it. And for people who love these pencils, it's delicious. Playful and bold and big and beautiful. Love that you post shots like this.
