Description
Another one from Grand Teton Nation Park. The ranger led hike we went on ended at Inspiration Point, but we continued on to Cascade Canyon with a very friendly German couple, Frederick & Angelica, whom we had just met. Pictured here is Frederick, using a very long lens in Cascade Canyon. After the hike, they invited us back to their rented motor home for a cup of coffee where we found out that Frederick has a very interesting occupation. He's an engineer who designs engines for Porsche & he gets to travel around the world to test them under extreme conditions - such as the blistering heat of Death Valley in the summer & the frigid cold of remote parts of Canada in the winter...

very lovely place
There seems to be a relationship between German tourists and rented motorhomes. We see a lot of CruiseAmerica motorhomes out on the road, and they are invariably occupied by Germans on holiday. At first we thought, "what a coincidence!" but no ... it keeps happening! :) How nice to make friends on the trail. There are such interesting people in the world!
