To say I am so angry is an understatement. I am SO, SO fed up of the noodle doodles next door, yesterday was the end!!!
I came home from shopping, was upstairs getting changed when I heard a horrendous noise outside, I looked out of the window to see the noodles next door chasing Mr. Buck round the cul-de-sac. I called my son & we ran downstairs & out the door. Mr. Buck ran past us & over our back gate with the noodle in persuite. I got the offender out of the garden, the owner was just stood watching talking to friends!!!!! He came towards me saying sorry, I asked him "Don't you have leads?" he replied "They are in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
These flipping dogs are mother, son & daughter (A PACK) Bichon X Poodle X Bichon. The owners think their dogs do not need leads, the fella told us the other day that he had been testing the dogs in the front garden & they were so good. I asked him how good were they with one in the neighbours garden & one up the road?????? They are silly people who think their noodles can do as the please, even to the point of them having a wee in my garden.
Please don't get me wrong my girls would chase IF given the chance, I don't give them the chance. I know for a fact that if they were off the lead & if the noodles came running upto, them yapping as they do when we are walking them home , they would have them. I am aware of this & keep them on the lead.
Ok Saturday rant over, Mr. Buck is fine after his ordeal. He came in & sat with his girls, he was there for the rest of the day.
You can see how mad I still am!!!! Just off to take the girls for a wee in next doors garden :o)))))))
Thanks for all the comments & favs, so, so appreciated.

Some dogs have more sense than their owners ... which doesn't say a lot for either. My parents always kept their dogs (poodles) on a lead. I haven't got a dog; I suppose, though, the neighbours might complain about my cat, who tends to piddle in their gardens ...
Some folk are not fit to have dogs ! Bitches make splendid burnt patches on lawns, go for it, Barbara!
I'm so glad Mr. Buck's OK - that's the most important thing. To me, people like your neighbours can't be dog lovers. We, and I know you, would never let our dogs get into a potential situation that could harm them - or worse. It always irks me that people like this have dogs - or other pets for that matter. They clearly don't care about them as much as they should or as much as we do.
Good news that Buck is ok Barbara, I was so worried about that little chap when you txt'd me yesterday. hugs and love xxxxxxxx
Don't you have leash laws, call the police. The pit bull next door got out and attacked me and my dog while i was walking him on a leash. i called the police and they got hit in the wallet hard along with a msd charge. you just cant be reasonable with some people.
Barbara, I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Buck being in danger. If someone does not have there dog on a lead they should be turned in. They could hurt another animal or even a child.
These people need to lose their dogs and be banned forever I'm glad that Mr. Buck is okay
I totally understand your rant, I have neighbors like that! They have two dogs that are NEVER controlled in anyway. These dogs have charged people who come to my home, and my husband when he is in the front yard. Yes, there are lease laws, but apparently they don't apply to everyone. These neighbors have been reported three times, not by us, but by other neighbors. No change :( Truthfully I am afraid to report them, I have three dogs that are in my (fenced) yard alone on occasion, and I'm not sure they wouldn't poison them! I'm so glad Mr.Buck is alright!
Glad Mr. Buck is O.K., I have to agree, sounds like these people are just too lazy to take the time to leash their pets, they forget the animal instinct is to chase whatever moves, its natural for them, outstanding capture!
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Buck's scare! Your neighbors don't take very good care of their dogs!
Outrageous!... Mr Buck had to show a clean pair of heels there, but it should not happen, only proves they clearly do not know how to handle and train their dogs according to the environment they live in and around. Well trained dogs should be familiar with cats and not behave like a torpedo at them... thankfully on this occasion no harm done. Years ago when I lived in a flat in London one night a greyhound past it's racing days had been kicked out and unknown it was lurking around the area and spotted the cat owned by the family on the ground floor (six flats).... I heard this almighty goings on and activity downstairs.. turned out the greyhound had spotted the cat at the front of the flats and chased it around to the back communal garden and tried to get up the tree but sadly the greyhound got it and I need not go any further... the kids were all crying, dog handler arrived and police, husband came out of the back garden with a badly cut hand... the dog was later caught and I think it sadly had to be destroyed... the owners of that dog created that scenario and outcome... usually cats can make it but this one didn't.
SIESTA :)
I am glad that you got this out of your system with us! Some people's pets are smarter than their owners! I never had to use a leash but then I always lived in the country. Verbal commands (not shouted) were all I ever needed. Well except for Tasha (basset hound) that was just not the brightest dog in the world! Mr Buck looks content with Miss Meadow!
Well deserved rant, indeed.
