Let's see ... this is from one of the forts in Alabama, so it must have been late March.
(Don't mind the random order. I get bored if I don't mix things up a bit.)
One of my favorite artists here on Renderosity, ges, makes fabulous images along these lines. He often repeats a figure ten or twenty times, showing the person in motion via a single still image. It's pretty cool.
While I was waiting for Bill to finish looking at some undoubtedly fabulously fascinating thing, I realized I had the perfect opportunity to take some shots that I could use to try one of those ges-style images. It's fun to try out new things!

It took me a moment to figure out what you were getting at. This is very cool. The post work is excellent. What would be even cooler (more cool? coolish?) would be for you to tell us you found a pair of triplets on your visit.
I love the way this worked out and yes, I recognize that technique. I love the way this has turned out, and it's something I've been wanting to try, but other things always came up. There's something particularly appealing about this image: I love the stonework (or aged concrete, which is as venerable as ancient Rome) and the quality of the light works perfectly with those intriguing, evocative textures...and then the people! Yeah...it's quite a marvel to see...it's rather like a musical phrase, actually, which leads me to another thought. Whenever I see shots like this, with a repetition of people in it, I often think of it as some kind of not entirely traditional music score. I wonder what song, or phrase of a song these people-notes spell out? I can's read music or play an instrument and so the thought of music goes off into a really mysterious region for me...and yet, I see notes. Hmmm...I think a muse lives in this image! Even if it was muse-less, I'd love it. It's fantastic.
