This is what happens when you shoot into the sun---but wow, talk about a perfect 4th of July foto!! My son was flying his kite in the park and I just had to try. This was a LONG time ago, with who knows what camera? Maybe even my old Pentax K1000--you know the kind with FILM???? lol

I remember that.... an exciting image!
The Sun always has the best fireworks. Now days the only film I encounter is what I clean off the shower door.
Marvelous creation !
Don't do it with modern digital sensors........NOT GOOD!
blinkings is blinking right about the sensors. I always hold my breath when shooting at or around the sun, feeling that may be the last photo I ever take with that camera. Otherwise, a tremendous supernova burst of lights to celebrate this sacred holiday, Marilyn. Very cool capture considering the circumstances. And, please visit my contribution posted for the 4th of July.
A lucky shot, and well done!
this is cool

looks like we are about to have a close encounter of the third kind, nice capture
Good Advice Andrew... Hope your 4th was good. Aloha
