Description
Each week a young friend and I try to visit a wildlife reserve, and this week it was Higher Hyde Heath, one of many managed by Dorset Wildlife Trust to which we both belong.
The webpage for this is here http://www.dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk/higher_hyde_heath_reserve
We saw some extremely interesting insects, and hundreds of baby frogs and toads about an inch long were crossing the path you see here.
See a pretty little fly we saw Here

Lovely capture of the beautifully illuminated and silhouetted greenery in this magical pic. What I would give for insects (any kind), frogs and toads in my area.

A beautiful place for a walk. Your little fly is a Long-legged Fly (Poecilobothrus nobilitatus). The white wing tips are the giveaway. http://www.gardensafari.net/pics/vliegen/overig/poecilobothrus_nobilitatus_hs1_6982.jpg
