Description

Back from a trip to three National Parks a few days ago & finally found some time to post my first photo. During our trip, we found out that we would be able to pick up our grandson Eligh on our way home through Portland & keep him for a week - which we are thrilled to do, but trying to keep up with an 11 year old after a two week road trip has left me with little energy or time to post or comment until now. We visited the following National Parks on our trip - Grand Teton (2 days), Yellowstone (4 days) & Glacier (3 days) - with 5 days of driving to get there & back. All of the parks were amazing, but Yellowstone was our clear favorite despite the large crowds. Though I took lots of photos, I found the conditions difficult & challenging & am somewhat disappointed with the results overall. But I do have quite a few that I am happy with (mostly landscapes & wildlife shots, as well as a few macros) & those are the ones I'll share. I won't have a lot of time to get caught up on the galleries until my grandson heads back home on Friday. This scene greeted us as we traveled north from Grand Teton into Yellowstone - newly fallen snow with a bright blue sky & big billowy clouds - a beautiful sight...

I just wanted to say........I hope people don't just look at a photo like this with their phones etc and move on. A view like this deserves the big screen. That's just MHO!

I'll look forward to seeing whatever you post from that trip! I was in Glacier about 40 or so years ago, Yellowstone when I was about two years old, and as far as I know, I've never been to Grand Teton. Bring it on! Nice to have you back! Enjoy your week of grandparenting, and we'll see you later. :)

What a treat to have a late June snowfall to decorate the already spectacular scenery. Excellent photo!
