Description
This is the other animal I felt sorry for. The bear had a lovely enclosure, quite big, waterfall into a nice rock pool. Plenty of things in there to amuse him/her.
BUT, the waterfall wasn't working & it was a hot day. We saw him/her behind glass,(as you can see), there were about 6-8 large panels. BUT he/she continuously paced just 2 panes, plus looked very stressed. The caged animal syndrome. On the plus side he/she looked in good condition. Hate to see animals pacing.
Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. xxx

I agree with you! Poole zoo got shut down for these reasons.
Have to agree with you on that. Beautiful bear, outstanding capture!
I agree as well. great capture
I too agree!
Fabulous looking bear it is sad when they don't have the amenities working for the animals, Super capture of him/her..
The heat is hard on all the animals. My horse just stands in his stall and sweats. He has plenty of water and baths, but when it is humid it does no good. Great shot.
They call it "institutional pacing" over but this Sun Bear does look very healthy! A nice shot through the glass!
Stress and boredom .. results in pacing. Poor bear .. but where would he go if he wasn't here? the alternatives don't even sound good.
