What a neat critter. Cousin to an octopus, I presume? :)
LOL
Wow, looks like an alien plant, brillant macro!
was my 1th thought
WOW. I agree, this is super cool and very, very ALIEN. Thanks for posting -- it's really cool. Oh, and your lighting and decision to crop it this way are spot on.
That is fascinating and alien looking, outstanding capture!
This I have never seen with a hazel nut before - a very interesting find Martin.
Nice shot.
Fantastic shot. Thanks for sharing.
This is very different. Great shot of the details!
mooie macro en boeiend postwork
Great color and clarity in this picture of the critter, Martin. What may look like a hazelnut is actually a voracious deep sea creature, similar to an octopus, with a huge eye in the center, but instead of suckers on those tentacles, there are sharp spikes that it uses to inject venom into its prey.
I thought of a sea creature as well, and am surprised to learn this is a hazelnut. Very interesting shot.
How very alien, excellent photo.
Beautiful! Aloha
and one can eat it also???? interesting capture! ;o)
