Well howdy-do, Ivory Louise. What an amazing render. Top notch lighting, my friend. Tremendous setting. Love her braids. Everything. Spectacular.
Well done.
Great portrait !!!!
Excellent portrait! Did you use anything special like SkinVue to get such a nice result?
No. I've got SkinVue and I've used it in the past. For this one (and for most of the pictures where I use a Genesis character in Vue), I go through the materials and manually turn the Bumps off for the human skin portions and manually re-set the glossiness/specularity. Normally I set the glossiness totally off except for some bits of the eyes, teeth, and fingernails where I also crank up the specularity. Sometimes I have to do the same thing for the hair and clothing. On this clothing, I had to reduce the bump value from 1 down to 0.12 and it's still on the edge of too much. I've really got to learn how to set up a Python script to take care of this for me instead of doing it manually. Thanks for the comments. I really appreciate them.
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation, very helpful for getting some more insight into character rendering in Vue!
Thanks, guys. I appreciate the comments.
An excellent character study! Wonderful stark lighting.
